Who's going to stay at the field in a RV? A couple of us guys are thinking about renting a RV for the weekend. Thats would be fun, nothing like waking up to the smell of nitro and the sound of blade farts in the morning

RappyTappy - renting an RV might be as difficult as getting a room. Look into this now. I'm doing the tent thing (live in Scottsdale, so i'm only 40 minutes away). Partying at night is a blast at the fun-fly.

I'll be driving in on Thursday afternoon sometime from Denver with about 5-6 of us. I stayed in a tent last year with no problems other than it was REALLY cold there at night. Chris if you're going to do the RV thing let me know I might be interested, otherwise I will be in a tent again this year. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again out there!

tents are allowed - i froze my a-s off last year, so i'm buying a better sleeping bag and will either bring my smoker to burn wood, or try one of those catylitic heaters that bolt on a propane can. I spent some time reading about these heaters, and they are very dangerous to put in your tent when you pack it in for the night. The examples these articles made were along the lines of "being dragged out of your tent the next morning boot first if you use one in the tent overnight".
3DMoen - did you camp out near my tent last year - i had a white F-250; blue awning next to my tent; first camp site next to the full hook-up rv's; lots of beer!

Shawn, speaking for someone 2800 miles away from you and your club, the three times I have flown out to LA for events at your field, you were (are) always one of the most enthusiastic, and gracious hosts anyone could ask for. If you are going to PHX, I for one would be most happy to see you.
I did have a chance to read the other thread about the Cup, however, I did not read any offending posts before they were deleted. I dont know for sure what was going on, but based on what I did read, It seems some of the stuff that was hampering your club last year is to blame(field use by planes and public). I hope everyone can come to an arangement that will keep the event alive and at the Apollo Field. It would be a shame to simply let it die out.

Hey...if they give you anymore trouble out there....c'mon east hehehehe

Much to cold up their.... After 20 years of living in Mich. I had to get out of the cold.. I hope to be moving back to Texas in the next year if all goes well. Currently the place I work at want's to keep my contract for another year... so I am stuck here.

Sony Pictures says I can't go because they need me on site. The movie business can be a little hard to schedule around at times. I wanted to get out to the vegas event and had to eat my tickets. and I really wanted to show my support for the clubs event. Just could not make it happen....

Anyone thinking of bringing an RV and wanting full hookups better get their registrations in fast. Full hookups are at 50% full. There are partial hookups and dry camping. Be warned that when the sun goes down, it gets chilly fast.
