A torque tube robs less power from your main blades, thus better autos. I should say noticeably better autos. This isn't one of those.... If you were a pro, you'd notice it. This is a... If you do any autos at all, you will notice it.

I'd rather be flying

You can use the white gears from the 600E. Those are still available. I will be replacing mine after a hard landing with my 600N. I prefer the TT because it does auto better and does give you better performance. Plus, you don't have to worry about the belt tension loosening in flight or the slapping of the belt on the tube.

As far as the conversion, I don't think you need the tail, you can just swap out the tail drive shaft to the tail shaft from the belt. You'd really need the belt, tail rotor shaft and tail belt drive.

There is another huge benefit of the TT that no here has touched on and that is if you build scale it is so much easer to install the mechanics in to the fuselage if you use a TT also there is a one time adjustment for the tail drive and thats it. Give me TT any time.

There I was inverted nothing on the clock but the makers name and only the joystick in my hand
