So I'm in the process of building my 600N and I go to install the magnets on the fan for my Multigov and GUESS WHAT'S MISSING? THE MAGNETS! I'm really upset because the bag has a little hole in the corner (which look like was purposely put there, i.e. not torn through) which I suspect the magnets fell out of... I think I may have an extra magnet from my other multigov but I wanted to use 2 to ensure balance but I'd rather not wait, I'll just fill the other hole with epoxy...

What a bummer...

Why don't you just wait to get both mags before you install the gov? You don't have to have the gov for the machine to fly.

This is true but that requires taking the machine apart. It's no rush, I'm still waiting on servos and my regulator. I'm hoping to fly by next weekend though.

Cool, I hope to get one pretty soon. I got a chance to fly one for about 30sec a couple of weeks ago and that sold me.

Go to RadioShack and pick up some "rare earth" magnets. Dave Yost has a nice post about them here in the 600N forum.

Don't feel bad, they were just saving you the step of installing them and having the heli throw them. It's much more efficient for you to never get them, and it saves epoxy and frustration.

FYI guys, Danny Sazabo was by for a while yesterday on unrelated business, He had his 600N with him, he broke it out to give my dad a short demo, less then a minute into the flight, the clutch started slipping.

I ended up loaning him the clutch bell out of mine with the thicker material. He was not sure how many flights he had on the clutch,(and he does fly hard!) but I checked the gap and it was .044! almost double what it should be.

he is going to pass it along to Align, but if your doing the build now, save your self the hassle, and change it out.

Now, I am stopped on the build till I get new clutch material, but it was worth it to watch the demo!. very inspiring!

Just did that myself

I've put some hirobo sceadu liner. Its 1.0mm thick instead of the 0.7-0.8mm align has.

Its a nice snough fit.

Good advice Dave. I've changed mine as well.

Friend of mine built his 600N with the already mentioned rare earth magnets from Radio Shack and had no problems.

As far as the clutch lining the JR lining is the way to go.

The Raptor lining works well also. I wasted $20 on heavy duty M.A. lining. It was way to thick.

You will forget about the missing magnets once you fly this thing it flys great! I got 6 flights in yesterday and im very happy with it. I have the Raptor 90 green liner in and it worked great.
