They're made by the same company, to my understanding, and only have slight differences. Same for the 300's.

yes they are from the same company but HDX has different design I heard they work with the manufacture to have different design and testing and they also have their own manual and video which other sellers do not have. I have a nicely manual of HDX500SE and it looks really professional. They say HELIDIRECT COPYRIGHT 2007. I really need a manual or at least a DVD.
