Do anyone know how to do the Sideways Flight?

This Maneuver is from the PPP level 6 description:

Sideways Flight (4 required variations)
1. With the helicopter upright hovering Tail-in over the landing circle fly sideways for at least one (1) clockwise and one (1) counter clockwise circuit around your flying area. The nose of the helicopter must be pointing toward the center of the flight area.
2. With the helicopter upright hover Nose-in over the landing circle fly sideways for at least one (1) clockwise and one (1) counter clockwise circuit around your flying area. The nose of the helicopter must be pointing away from the center of the flight area.
Note: These maneuvers must be done a flying speed. The idea is to learn to control the helicopter as it is turning towards you and away from you.

I even cannot image how the heli can stay for a long time in the upright inverted situation. I think it will come down promptly when the heli is in the upright inverted situation.

Can anybody give me the explaination how to do it or give me the hint of the controlling method.

In fact, I can do the funnel in the sim but no a totally upright sideways flight.

Where do you get the inverted part? I think what is intended is normal flight but with the nose 90 deg to the path. Flying circles with the nose to the inside of the circle and then with the nose to the outside of the circle. (I have found the nose to the inside is easier than tail to the inside).

Sorry, what I meant is this Maneuver is from the PPP level 7 description:

Straight Upright Flight (1 required variations)

1. After watch you flip flop and whatnot it has been brought to my attention that some of you may have forgotten how to flight upright straight and level. This maneuver requires that the pilot flies the helicopter for one complete tank of fuel and that the helicopter remains upright for the entire flight. A flight must last at least 10 minutes, this goes double for the likes of Todd B, Gary W, & Curtis Y!

martinhung,
Maybe I am confused now. Are you talking about Sideways Flight (4 required variations) or Straight Upright Flight (1 required variations)?

That Straight Upright Flight (1 required variations) is a joke. Its saying that now you have mastered all the tricks, can you now resist doing them and just fly around straight and level for the entire flight. He is just having fun with you. He does not mean to fly around with the nose pointed straight up. He just means to fly it upright just like you did way back when you were happy with just doing forward flight. You did not do the "Pirouetting Auger" did you? Or at least not on purpose?
