Crashed? Discussion and Photos > My first and last .90 size crash...

Well today on Fathers Day me and my Dad went flying for the first time in a long while and I had a lot of fun even though I crashed my new JR Vibe. A friend of mine at the flying field helped me get it tuned and I finally started to do some hard 3D with it.And on the 7th and last flight of the day I was doing some hard inverted pullouts when out of nowhere the heli just explodesboom strike

this was my first .90 heli and probably the last .90 I will ever get. I would need to get a new kit to get it flying again and I don't have the money for that because i'm wanting to get into helicopter flight school here in town
But for the short time that I did have it I had alot of fun with it and thats all that matters I guess I still have a Trex600 and i'll keep it because it's so much fun to fly..haha.. it flies better than my Vibe did

Here are some Before and after pics of my JR Vibe......enjoy

Before

this one was taken right before I left to go to my formal

Always painful - especially the build time of your ship

Ouch,

Get back on the horse!

Bummer on the Crash! Fix it up and get back in the air.

Dont give up on it. Just put it away for a while and rebuild it little by little as time and money permits. Before you know it, it will be up and running again and you'll be glad you didn't abandon it.

Looking at the pic I'm sure all the servos are toast. You can rebuild it but at what expense? HOw much would it cost? what is your time worth? Do you really want to do a complete tear down, a complete rebuild(hope you catch anything that might be bad) set-up and etc? I had a Stratus go in hard and it wasn't worth the time or effort to get it flying again. Sell what you can from it and later down the road get another 90 money permitting.

Hey,

Sorry about your crash. That was happened to me once about 12 yrs ago, and I was in college during that time. I kept every pieces and trying to rebuild one by one. Now, I graduated, married, and still keep my heli in a repaired state. My boy may flight my repaired heli some time in the future for sure.

If it was built, it can be rebuilt. The matter is time and your enthusiasm.
