"Remote Control" update

I was watching the History Channel tonight and saw preview for "Remote Control" that showed a RC Heli.

Cedar Hill is just a few miles south of Dallas.
I am not sure if I will be able to go to the fun-fly. Depends on my work status and the weather.

why couldn't they find curtis youngblood to do the demo for the show, it would of been cooler ?? he should have his own weekly series ..

Not very impressive, just as SENECA said earlier, 2 minutes of a Freya hovering inverted and doing some loops and pirouettes. And in case you didn't know you can "flip between normal mode and heading hold mode on the gyro" according to the guy, WOW! The show wasn't about R/C it was about TV remote controls and about some stuff I would not even call remote control..........

Watch the San Diego Fun fly Jason Krause video instead, that one rocks and blew my friends and collegaues away!!!

Yeah...The RC model aviation stuff was a little weak for people already into it, but was presented fairly well for consumption by the un-washed masses.

They got one thing right....

Helis are even more difficult to fly than any "fixed wing" could be...Even Jets!?!

I just watched it, I thought the best part was the vintage R/C footage.

well I saw it and wasn't impressed much .. most of the r/c was for the edge airplane and the jets .. about 30 secs of heli .. what a rip off ..

Even thirty seconds will have a large impact. The "unwashed" will call the TV stations and ask for more. For what it was, I though they did a credible job. The "old" footage was great.

The "Boys Toys" show in the New England region was on power tools.

Will have to catch the show again tonight.
