I was out saturday and had my training gear on. There I was hovering around the back yard and all of a sudden one of the balls fell off the gear. I was able to land it pretty soft and repair it. The screw that held it in must have vibrated out!!!! I have still to try to find a hula hoop, but it looks as if that was a sign. Im supposed to get my simblaster cord here in a couple of days. I want to get some time in on FMS before I even attempt to remove the gear. Is it me or is it really easy to fly while the bird is moving forwards. The only thing I have issues with still is the tail coming around on me. Any pointers?

Balls?

You have just learned your first lesson about pre-flight checks!!!
It's something everyone should get into a habbit of doing. Go for the hoop and you won't be sorry. -----------BladeRunner.

Fix for loose balls

Drill a hole through the dowel rod on each side of the whiffle ball, Insert a cotter pin in the inner hole, allowing enough room for a flat washer between the whiffle ball and the cotter pin. Add another flat washer and cotter pin to the outer hole.

This will allow the ball to turn smoothly and eliminate any lost screws.

I still prefer the hoola hoop myself
