How are you guys getting the o rings in seated.Could someone explain how you are getting them in? I can get one o ring in to the lip, the second one is just to tight. Is the first ring one suppose to go in to the lip when both are on? when i just put one on it goes all the way to the lip and its nice and tight when i put the second ring on i can barely get it in if at all dosent feel secure.

I used the old spit technique. Just go slow it will eventually get in there for you.

you have to put pressure on the oring evenly all the way around or it'll ooze out like you say. It's hard to do but keep at it. Once it's together it stays together nicely. Try some afterrun oil if spit isn't working. I can't remember but I don't think spit worked for me either. Don't get frustrated and tear one of the orings.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

I agree with kingair. I spent about a half hour trying to get that bad boy in. You take some fuel or after run oil and lube up the o-rings (the oil will dry up later..don't use silicone because it'll stay lubed). I used gentle twisting while trying to push the muffler straight in. That way, the o-ring can't "ooze" out the other side.

Spray the o rings with windex, then take and put the flange on the bench, sit the muffler down on top, keep the muffler level and push. The muffler will snap right down on the o rings just like it's supposed to.

Works everytime if you do it right.

I used a special O-ring lubricant and then pushed them on as per Terry's note.

Hi Guys,

Does this mounting look ok?
I'm using cable ties to hold it at the moment. Was gonna screw it, but the cable ties seem strong enough.
