Been looking at getting a peak detecting TX and RX field charger.
I know everyone likes the Turbo's and Sirius chargers, but they are pretty expensive.

Has anyone tried the Hangar 9 Double Vision charger? The Hitec field chargers look promising as well at prices well below the aforementioned "mercedes" of chargers.

Any feedback on these or other sub $100 chargers (<$75 would be better) would be great.

I use a Hitec 335 for field charging. Seems to work OK. The four cell charger output isn't all that fast, so I usually use the high power charger on my receiver batteries.

The peak detector sometimes triggers prematurely if I charge too fast. 1 A seems to be about as fast as I can charge a 1400 mAh pack and reliably get it fully charged in one go. The voltmeter holds the peak voltage reading, and I know roughly what it should be, so it's easy to tell if I got a false peak. This charger will also tend to overchage NiMh batteries in some cases.

The CG 225 has a single output and only does up to eight cells. This would be enough for Tx and Rx packs.

Here's the charger I use. Costs about $80, does NiCD, NiMH, Li-ion. Has multiple peak detection algorithms. Runs off AC at home or the cigarette lighter at the field. Has cycling capability. Downside: you can only charge one thing at a time. Upside: you can charge any other rechargeable pack in your house. No problems to date.

I own a Double Vision, Very good in my opinion. It will do either JR or Futaba TX and can not be hooked up wrong. It will also charge a 4 or 5 cell flight pack plus the glow starter. If the TX has a diode just hold the button down for 10 sec. and it will bypass the diode and start charging around 850 mah. Just the right size to fit in a field box. I'm glad I bought it.
