If you're not trying to make your Trex a scale ship or something it's probably not worth the money. Isn't that system almost the price of the airframe?! Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure 3D performance decreases dramatically with a flybarless system.

When the flybarless system is setup correctly 3D performance will increase. The flybar is for stability. To get manoeuverability you are actually requiring instability like a fighter jet. Also the flybar adds drag and is extra weight to move.

Hi heli-hurley,

The T-Rex 600 is 'probably' one of the harder models to estimate if anyone would personally enjoy the benefits of flybarless enough to invest in the system. Right 'out of the box' the T-Rex 600 works extremely well and lacks little in the way of agility and there is only a little scope for weight saving.

The flybarless version does however provide a distinct performance edge via the elimination of drag from the flybar / paddles and the model climbs much better, flows through and from manouver to manouver with much greater ease and enjoys longer flight times (if you dont abuse the extra efficiency too much)

From what I have seen of Duncans recent flying, flybarless enables a very different 'cutting edge' flying style to be developed and manovers that were simply not possible or unsightly with a flybar model are now very possible!

So perhaps look at what you are doing now and where you want to go with flying style etc. or perhaps you would simply enjoy being on the cutting edge of current technology?

Hope this helps....

RussD.
