Don't know why Yan didn't use a reverse thread on that bit - just for us 'clockwise' junkies
I got a new one, and epoxy'd the hex at the top of the thread. The bits are so cheap and I've not seen one wear out yet so theres no need to worry about 'screwing things up'.
I've been having to remove the plug on mine and running fuel through on the first run of the day for a while, don't know if it's my 'cheap' starter or just because I don't get to 'play' as often as I should - even pulling the fuel feed from the carb to stop the engine leaving it dry doesn't work.
The rest of the day's running is fine after that first run through, it's just after it's sat for a few days/weeks between use. |
