I am trying to decide which day is the best to attend. I am interested in 3D helis but don't know what day is the most fun. I want to go to the Indianapolis GP that same weekend too! so I must pick a day for the XFC. Thanks,

The only competition on Thursday, 6/14 is the wildcard tryouts for the last open pilot slot.

Friday is the first full competition day. Everyone tries to find their stride (and where the air stops and the ground starts!) The rest of the show kicks off on Friday also with full-size aerobatics, skydivers, hot air balloons, the festival and concert.

Saturday is typically a very exciting day as everyone is throwing down their best stuff trying to make it into the finals.

Sunday isn't bad either when the top seven duke it out for the cash!

thanks for the info xfc3dcd, do you know when they do the helicopter freestyle with music programs? those are the ones I like the most but don't know which day. I might be able to attend two days.

Every flight the heli pilots perform is with their program music. We alternate between the known and unknown programs for variety of the show. Saturday is exciting because everyone is flying their top best with the intent to make it in to the finals which are Sunday.
