I'm so jealous you guy's have so much fun where you fly. Out here, at the most populated field with heli guys. I keep having my air space Invaded by the same planker who can't controll his crap!!
Now I'm off to another field so I don't have to drop elbows on this Guy!!!

and one more thing "DON'T BE AFRAID!"

holding off on the 90... at this point... going with 2 TREX 600N's One is going to be good to go, and the other will be setup alike for backup. Will still hold good ol' raptor for 3rd backup.

New to the area Question

New to the area...QUESTION

Hi

I'm new to the area and have been reading your forum for a while.
I am still fairly new to helis but have been flying planks for 20+ years. I have 3 helis at this time, 2 electric and 1 nitro.
I noticed that there have been several other newbies that have asked this same question....."where are you guys flying?"
TO DATE, THERE HAS NOT BEEN AN ANSWER.
Are you trying NOT to let anyone else join in the fun? or is there some sort of "SECRET SOCIETY" with secret handshakes going on??
I had always thought this hobby was all about comraderie and sharing, but I guess out here in California, is seems that is NOT the case.
Sadly disappointing to be dissed that way.
I get the fact that there appears to have been some past issues among some former members(?)about whatever, but isn't it about time to put away the "mine is bigger than yours" attitude, and go on living and NOT taking it out on prospective new flyers????
Just my 2 cents worth.

Regardless the validity of your thoughts, when operating as desperados at any given usable but not sanctioned locale, 3 to 5 could be the magic number that slips under any local radar, and 4 to 6 might be all it takes to get everyone the boot. I'm just the messenger . . . I gave up on any of the locations where egos came into play to any significant degree. Don't get nuthin wadded when I say that if you really are interested in flying, with no disturbing of the fertilizer intended, try to be more diplomatic rather than confrontational as you hope for an invite.

EDIT:

No one would expect a hunter or fisherman to share his favorite duck blind or fishing hole with just anyone, right? (EDIT: Removed a piece-o-text that was misconstrued by 2.)

Kort welcome to SoCal...

Kort Ill be real honest with you and anyone else who wonders. If you read back about 3 years you will know how and why OCHC was formed. With that alot of great friendships were made on the field and off the field. With all the BS at the end i would have not changed a thing I had a great time...

Ill try to answer all your questions ...

Kort please tell me how we are takeing it out on prospective flyers???

Ill tell you and anyone else who has 2 cents...1st YOU give up your NUTs for others and the love for the hobby and then mabe just mabe you can give me your 2 cents...Untill then keep CRASHING in your driveway or carport

Its real easy to join OCHC all that we ask is GIVE BACK and make it better for others...

OCHC is all about QUALITY not QUANTITY ...

Kort come on you know all about OCHC and you just signed up on RR yesterday ????

Anyone can READ all these postings WITHOUT having to register. That is what I have been doing for a while.
As far as the "taking it out on prospective flyers" statement goes, it's pretty simple. By making prospective new members BEG for information, and be continually denied, how could you possible see that as anything but unfriendly and negative?? Not allowing newbies to join you and learn from your knowledge and experience is hardly what I would consider promoting the hobby!
(I'm not trying to be particularly agressive here but there are a lot of negative vibes I'm feeling.)
