Sorry guys. I didn't mean to press the 'close topic' button but, once I had, I couldn't recover it. Anyway all the same questions apply

Yes, and the modification is still happening! I am trying to work out the exact height the complete Eco 8 frame sits inside the body to allow for the flybar to clear the top of the shell, maintain the Scale appearance, adapt the tail rod, secure the frame to the existing legs and remnants of the original frame (which is a Kyosho 30 size Hughes - concept?) plus loads of other things to calculate. It may even fly one day!

No, i meant it serious. or maybe i missed the joke myself.

maybe you should consider upgrading to eco-16, that body is really big for the eco8. how does the length of the boom work out for this body.

Sorry Knol, think I'm getting paranoid in my old age. The boom is about 1cm short but I thought I could address that by trimming abit off the 'tail body'. This body is very light and I'm running a brushless motor so I will see how we get on. Eco 16 is an option I will consider, thanks for that.

If only 1 cm shortening of the body was required that that was probably a better option as lengtening the eco8 ( going to eco16). anyway now it is shortened making it longer is probably not an easy job so i would leave it the way it is.

Thanks Knol. I haven't cut off the bit of body just yet but plan to. We have a house guest (been here two momths already!) and work is preventing me from getting on with this thing. Never mind, I'll get there. I also have a real issue buying parts from this part of the world so everything has to be mail order (2 hours from Singapore and the same from Hong Kong) Will keep you (and others)updated as I along. I did just buy a Hirobo XRB Shuttle to keep me entertained in the evenings...flies really nice.
