i will be glad to share but i want to make sure it works first. i have had a unit that works outside the fuse but gettingit in the wing pods where nothing interferes with the gear is the kicker. vario's unit uses a servo to push the guns out the side, and air to extend and retract the gun barrels. mine will be all servo operated. but let me get it all out of my head, on to paper then in the wing pod first.

I have two sets of them. They are too big for the 50 size wolf.

yeah those are cool. they are the vario units but as said, way too big for the funkey 50 size. probably for the 60 too.

Finally have some time to build and have been trying to find a shop with an unpainted 50 Wolf in stock. Everywhere I look they are out. Anybody know of one somewhere or do I need to backorder one from Century? Thanks HAV

Those little drive motors inside a portable cd player comes to mind. the one that moves the laser back and forth, small and slimlined, or the drive motors from an older camcorder that moved the focus lenses. just an idea , ken

Anyone ever make retractable guns for a 50 size Airwolf ?
I am working on an High-Torque fuselage for my Trex 600 and would like to make them retractable. Just wanted to see if it's already been done before I give it a try.

I'd love to see what you come up with.

I was looking at doing this on the Funkey fuselage, but the retract assembly gets in the way and I don't have any elegant solutions.

My thoughts (for what they are worth)

Lets collectively think on this one.......

Based on the Vario ones, which uses air for a part of it.
My thinking (for its to penneth worth) is to explore the air route for the whole lot.

The thinking being you can hide the cylinder and valves anywhere in the fuz, and as the air pipes are so small, (I think they are the robart ones), they can run to the the bits you want to move withour encroaching on the other parts.

Keep us updated
