has anyone gotten a response from the sales@blitz-helicopters.com, after you sent an email to them.

I sent an email a few days ago and I have not received an answer yet

It could be that they are really busy.

I do know the whole team are heavily tied up with the world F3C champs in Poland (FYI first round is today.)

Even though everything is all setup, boxed up and ready to go, I believe the worlds is part reason why Blitz are only releasing kits next month. I might be wrong...

The main problem.....

for US sales will be the price....for $1800 you could almost buy

any two of the following: Vibe, Aurora(if it's real) or Synergy.

So the Avro will be a very tuff sell here...do to the exchange rate etc.

To bad....it looks like a very nice heli!

Keep in mind the British Tax system.
You will not pay that price.
VAT equals Value Added Tax, and is for UK and Euro residents ONLY.
If you buy one, it will cost 17.5% less than the listed UK price.
You may well get slugged at US customs with some tax, but not THAT much lol

If you bling it, they will come :D

So that works out to 741.68UK, or US $1511.55 at todays exchange rate from www.xe.com.

If you bling it, they will come :D

i have been watchin this machine over a long period of time.

I know Dave has put alot of flying into this machine and all his annoyances at other machines have been corrected with this machine.

It is desinged for total ease of operation, 4 bolts out drops the engine, no messing around,

i like it, very much,

Nice model

Matt

Or to be more precise the resulting price of £900 less VAT will be £765.96

To remove the 17.5% VAT from a UK price first multiply the inclusive price by 7 then divide that result by 47 , this will give you the amount of VAT that was added to the none vat price.
so £900 = UK price including VAT
900*7 = 6300
6300 / 47 = 134.04 <-- this is the amount of VAT
now 900 - 134.04 = 765.96 <--price to NONE UK residents

Now convert the result to your own local currency (better hope the £ becomes very week against your own currency).

Now I just wish it worked that way for UK pricing when we buy from the UK as it appears all they do is change the $ sign for a £ sign and say that will do IE what USA residents pay $10 for we end up paying £10 for in the UK which kind of sucks.

I did post originally that the AVRO will be a hard sell in the USA because of pricing but then I remembered what I kept hearing from this USA based forum "You get what you pay for" so I was all happy again.

<the last part of this post is not in any way meant to offend so please don't take any offence at it>

Hi guys,

as you ask for news here are a few ones that i could grab.
The kits and parts are already available and ready but the manuals will be printed out for the 28th, that is why the helicotper itself will be ready on the 28th for order.
At the moment, Blitz will only make direct sales but they are studying other possibilites, i can't say more for the moment but i will ask Neal if i can say a litle bit more about that matter.

The parts have ben designed so that usual breaking parts in crashes will cost around same kind of prices as other 90 class helicopters ( there are fuses parts for that) and the main reason about the price of the helicopter is simply due to the fact that the pars are designed AND manufactured in UK with european standards, with Blitz Helicopters control quality on all the parts, which is on my personnal point of view a big advantage.

The transmission is very strong and silent due to the use of helical gears and belt drive, the motor mount gets out with 4 screws and the really cool thing tht i do like the more is the big central part linking both frames and supporting the motor support. It allows in hard crash to save in 90% of the cases the frames AND the motor crankcase as it is not 2 supports on each side of the frames etaining the motor. I will finally maybe save my YS91st from hard crashes ? )))

The main rotor head " bizzare " design as it is called by many people is simply a very nice feathering shaft guiding thing that will prevent any mechanical dephasing in hard manoevers ( feathering shaft can not tilt horizontally, only vertically) and it allows i think the use of soft dampeners die to the massive and wide head block to provide hard, but progressive dampening because lever effect is smaller so i guess O rings will be really efficient there.

i hope to get my kit as soon as possible after the 28th of august, i will take pictures and make a little review of the building if you wish, it's a long time i did not buy a heli for myself (i mean outside the stuff we developp at the company) in 90 class and i'm totally excited with that one )))

i find the Avro very innovative but the designers have kept some very good concepts to add in making of it, i think a very reliable, trouble free and chepo in spare parts helicopter. And i felt in love with it just because despite all the innovatives things, it still looks reliable, strong and the most important, maintenance will not be a headache anymore with the easy access that seems to be done for all the components. One thing i like as well is that for matching the bewel gear on the main crown gear for tail transmission, it's not needed to align the tail boom for the main crown gear to get a perfect 90°, the tail boom supports can't be moved,it's the crown gear / main gear support that slides up and down to bring the correct free play so 90° alignment is perfect and easy.

If theheli is as good on the bench as on the paper, damn it will be really, really one of the best available at the moment. I would not be surprised to see some at F3C championships as well...

BEst regards,
Fabien
