| depending on how much work is involved in actually machining them. as far as i can tell, itll be 4 programs on the CNC per plate, plus some time finishing the edges etc. i would actually like to make a run of 10 or so, then we can send them into gruntbull and get the anno'd
as far as getting anything in production, it may be a few weeks. i should be able to finish the prototype and have it in a test chopper around memorial day, and we'll wait for some real world results before making any more. I'd hate to make something and have it break on the first crash (even if it isnt my design)
but ya casey, definitely clear it with the originator if we can make more than the 2 im planning on for now. im gonna go do a few quick fixes to the plans and talk to my prof on wednesday.
my one question is, can we do without an inch or so on that front tongue? cause there are no sizes of aluminum stock on mcmaster that are between 12" and 36". since as modeled the plate is 12.625" long, thats a bit of a problem. what do you guys think?
