Is anyone with AT batteries having performance issues with their packs?

I just got my 6s pack today. Now I have to get my heli rebuilt. Just waiting on replacement parts to arrive from rotorworkz. I have a TP pack and 2 Evo packs for comparison.

Now that's going to be hard to beat or atleast 50% harder

So far I'm very pleased with the 2200's!

They keep getting better all the time! I've got 10 flights each on my packs and they're still going strong!

HMM...
Well in that case,

"drum roll"

For my next trick, will be a fast climb into a stall into a free fall pirouetting 90 degree chaos, with a mix of side and tail down tic tocs...nose down constant roll into a blender and hope I hit the right collective at the bottom

103 Cycles and counting

Here is a CBA graph showing the difference between the 52nd cycle and the 103rd cycle. As you can see it is losing a bit of capacity, but I gotta be honest with you this battery has been used and abused. It has been over disharged on every cycle and drained down to 0 volts many times. Just imagine how well they would hold up if you took half as good of care with your battery as I did with this one. I am convinced that these batteries are the real deal and not just some fly by night company selling junk. AirThunder listens to all of my and everyone elses suggestions takes them to heart and then does something with them. I will still continue to beat up on this battery starting with some high rate charging cycles to see what happens. Stay tuned...

I have been charging my pack at 2c for a while now and it dosent get warm at all in charging and it dosent seem to hurt capacity.

I guess now all we need are some charts at 100 for batteries that are not intentionally abused

I just maidened my 6s 5000mAH battery on my TRex 600 and got 8 minutes of flight with still some juice left in the tank. My charger is winding down and it has currently put back 4815 mAH back.

Last weekend I invited a fellow Sydney Trex pilot to test fly one of my Air Thunder 2200 packs in his Trex.

He posted his experience here on RunRyder

http://www.runryder.net/helicopter/t364444p1/

The more I fly these packs, the more amazed I am, even my first two packs are still as "Square" and flat sided as the day I received them from the US. I have never had a pack like that before, most ordinary Lipo packs show some signs of puffing after 5 or so cycles.

Pay day is next week and I will be ordering another 3 packs now that I have added a Gaul Hurricane 550 Pro heli to my collection, it uses 2 packs in series to give a 6S1P config.

I now fly 2 of the AT 2200's in my MT and love the performance thus far.

Does anyone have any pic's of the 2200's in their Rex's, I dont see how you can balance them in a Rex, their just too heavy.

There are other ways you can balance helicopters without adding weight. For example, if you have a tail mounted servo, you can move the servo back, then make the necessary control rod adjustments after achieving the proper CG.

Some gentleman made modifications his battery tray on his MT to reduce the height to accommodates the AT packs.

welp, the pack balances fantastically... I guess I just wasn't expecting the pack to be as out-of-balance as it was when I received it, but I actually got it to balance PERFECTLY on my 1010C/210 charger/balancer... eh well, guess that's impatient 'ol me... my bad guys... let the testing commence!

i charge my airthunder packs with an astro 109 and use a blinking balancer. is it normal for the pack to still not be balanced after the charge is done? the balancer is still blinking away after charging so i just leave the battery connected to the balancer until the lights go out. is this normal?i would say sometimes up to 20 mins after the pack is charged before the lights go out.

I would say that's a little long. If it's balancing during charging, something is amiss. Does it seem to be one cell in particular every time? If so, you may want to get in touch with AP to discuss the issue. I would say a few minutes of balancing after the charge cut off is complete is not a problem (maybe 5 min at most), assuming you are balancing while charging and charging at 1C or slower. If you are fast charging, then the balancer may not be able to keep up, and may take a little more time, but either way 20minutes still seems long.

Cheers!
