Buzz and I had an oppertunity to fly with the new paddles on our sports and 3D this weekend. It felt consierably faster and more crisp on cyclic with No sacrifice on FFF or in a hover. This is a lighter paddle yet did not display any bad habits. I tried to weigh them but my scale was not accurate enough but it showed 10% -12% lighter. This is whole new design when we measured for flybar location and thickness. The pictures that I have were taken at the field of both the old and new.

New Paddles on a 3D

I tried a set of them out today and they fly really well!!! It made the cyclic feel a tad bit stronger and faster yet I did not loose any hover stability or FFF stability. To me it made the heli feel better

The new paddles look to have about the same surface area as the original design, I'm wondering about the airfoil shape.

I gave the CYE paddles a good looking over when I got them, and noticed that the shape looks to be symetrical front to rear, with the chord about center.

Did the good folks at Compass follow suit, or use a more conventional airfoil?

I tried Kirk's new paddles today and agree that they are really good. This heli with these paddles flies like a 90. It's very responsive but also stable when you want it to be. Not as twitchy as the stock paddles.

I seen these new paddles and they feel a slight bit heavier than the stock ones. Didn't weight them but they do feel heavier I didn't get a chance to fly them this past sunday but I will see if I can try them this weekend
