Saturday Spring Spool Up


Anyone planning on taking the trip over the Narrows to attend this funfly? Shawn and I went last year and were treated to a bunch of neat events as well as some pretty good flying. You have to see their field. Amazing views and big enough for 4 to 6 flight stations.

Let me know if you're interested and I can take at least four of us over in the van along with your gear

Mamma gets all the money I get before I could buy the toys I wanted - so when I left home - I just started to catch-up and compensate for my lack of toys when I was a little boy.

That is at least what my retired psychiatrist aunt told me.

A friend of mine and I are putting together a group ride for about 6 to 10 riders. It'll be in the range of about 350 miles round trip. If you're interested in stretching the legs on one of those machines I'll keep you in the loop.

We can't fly today! It's not odda odd day.


I'm working today anyway. I will be of on Wed, but that is even as well so I will have to fly at the pine barrons field. Whatever you do don't fly there on a even day, as you will be risking our use of the field.


All members should have received a calander via email, from Jeff, with the fly and no fly dates on it. Did you get this?

I asked Jeff to post the Calender on the SJHF web site. There's already a Calender page there so he could use it for that.

I also proposed that he make an attempt to hold the clubs meetings over the internet since the bulk of the members are a good distance away. I know that I could never attempt to drive through Hillsborough at that time of night, I'd get there around midnight.

I know that with the modern chat software in combination with a clear agenda it could be done.

Here is a good online chat software were we can talk and hear each other. It works very will with RealFlight G3.5 software as well while flying online at the same time. You need a Microphone or a headset.

You guys are making me jelous! I went out shopping after work today and really liked this.




It's a Honda CBR1000RR. Im not sure what I want to get to get me back into riding again. I rode for about 10 years in Texas and a couple here before I decided the driver in NJ were too crazy for me. Mt Holly power sports has a great selection of bikes and I had to leave before I spent 10,000 in 2 minutes. I know Don rides the BMW, but im not into that style of bike, and was wondering if anyone had experience with Honda? I have never owned one, but love this bike.

I had a Yamaha FJ1100. If I ever got another bide it would definitely be a BMW. Maybe I'm getting older, but I'd definitely like something that's comfortable.

A sports bike like the Honda CBR doesn't go very far without hurting your back. You should consider the Honda Gold Wing. That is what I'm getting in the next 2 years. My project for this year is a coach to trade for my 37 footer fifth wheel and 3500 Silverado Truck - comfort of home while going to big heli events.
