Compass Knight 50 > Knight 3D swash problem

I just received my 3D kit today but I noticed an issue with the swash. It seems really rough and hard to move. Almost a little "notchy". Is this normal or do I have a defective one?

A couple of other things I noticed. The fuel tank has some side to side play. The hard plastic holders don't quite reach the tank so it has room to move sideways. I plan to use a little fuel tubing to fill the gap but it should fit tighter out of the box.

Also, my canopy doesn't have the rear holes marked for the support posts. Is this normal?

Yup all that is normal

You have to move the ball in the swash for a while to break it in. Not all rubber is even when new.

If you look in my gallery you can see that I used some fuel tubbing to stop the side to side play. I also added some fuel tobing around the tank area to help give it a tighter fit.

The rear hole will need to be cut by you. I would recomend to cut the hole last after you install all your electronics. depending on where you have your battery the canopy windshield may hit the battery up front. You can actually move the rear up and down till when the windshield just barely touches the what ever you have up front.

Your gonna love it when you get this baby cranking It flies really smooth

The tank is mounted that way purposely to eliminate as much vibration as possible. The idea is for it to "float" in its mounted area to keep the fuel from foaming.

Most of my swashplates have been a little "stiff" when new, and will feel a little rough when "swashing" them around, but they should be silky smooth when rotating on the bearings. It will break in to the ball joint quickly once you start flying.

My swash was the same.

I just lubed the ball up with oil and then rotated the ball in the cup in all directions for 5-10mins and it became silky smooth.
