Hi I really liked the hurrican so I bought one I personally don’t like 8.7 ratio for my hyper so that’s why I changed it to 8.5 ratio there is a Nova Rossi C50H1 that would possibly suit 8.7 better without the engine screaming, its max torque is 2.2hp@ 18000 rpm you can read about it on engines and mufflers Tmblewd has bought one to try I also didn’t get on with the canopy so I fitted a raptor canopy instead so you can make your own mind up if you like it or not I flew the model but it was blowing a gale so I can't say much other than I got It down in one piece after flipping It and rolling it and the JR8900 is ace and worked great with a CSM 560 version 3 it was hard to part with my raptor but its done now I intend to go electric with this model so I have purchased the conversion kit, the hurrican will do a hurricane soon.cheers hayabusa

HI Erek the knight 3D looks a great machine and is not expensive I used a futaba 9351 servo on raptor 50, I saw the hurrican in MHW and bought one, the hurrican fly’s like my raptor 90 se I was flying it in a gale it is a very stable model I am going to convert it to fly-bar-less soon the raptor titan should have been a 3ccpm version .hayabusa

CSM fly-bar-less system

HI the CSM fly-bar-less system has just transformed this machine into a ballistic cruise missile the roll rate and flip rate is just awesome the power is most definitely up by 10to15% you can fly it as sedate as you want or give yourself an adrenalin rush . hayabusa

Static discharge on Hurrican! not best!

Hi My Hurrican has suffered from some big static discharges all models suffer from this especially belt driven tails the G10 frames are insulators and seam more prone to this than carbon fibre frames so before you stuff your model in the ground Earth the model thoroughly I used to only Earth the engine to the tail transmission box now I Earth engine to main shaft > main shaft to tail transmission box (tail drive gear bearing housing) tail transmission box to boom then boom to plastic tail box or metal box then check it with a multi meter for continuity its safety first every model I own has been done this way . I danced the model on and off the ground bang big static discharge tail completely lost till the gyro resets so just spend the time to earth it.hayabusa

Be safe and fly with confidence earth your model properly

Hi yug I have always used an earth from engine to tail transmission and tried Maplin anti static spray it wasn’t that good, then used furniture spray and been lucky for some years then recently I almost lost my helicopter through three static discharge hits and decided to thoroughly earth the model you can also buy from real raptors graphit 33 carbon spray at £ 6.09 but I feel the only real solution is to earth the model properly to be safe it taught me a lesson which I am sharing with all of us and put pictures on for those who might not realize what is causing there model to have this problem and how to earth it I am still using MR Sheen as well for extra insurance it’s a shame this information is not in the kits we buy .hayabusa

Offers a 85T main gear now I have one on my Hurrican. How does the Flybarless system fly? Stable?

Hi havehelis the CSM fly-bar-less system has great stability so is great for scale flyers it transforms any pod and boom model into a ballistic flying machine it basically depends on how you wish to set the model up the roll and flip rate can be set for gentle response or just mental all you need is two CSM 720 gyros and these have to be used with digital servos only. The other magic box I strongly recommend for your 3ccpm Hurrican is the cyclock 1 this drives servos at digital rate-faster than the best transmitters it has an electronic cyclic ring and works with expo rates and mode 1 flyers and corrects CCPM geometry errors believe me you can tell the difference immediately .RJX didnt have an 8.5 gear when i bought mine I modified a raptor 85 tooth for my Hurrican it flys at 2000/2050 slightly rich with good service from hyper 50 bearings. Sadly I had a lock out doing a metronome which is no fault of the Hurrican the damage is high so I have ordered a T rex 600 nitro but the G10 frames did not break I am amazed. The service from CSM is outstanding just treat yourself you will not want a fly-bar machine again it’s the dogs bollocks!. hayabusa ( The impact also wrecked every bearing)
