| Hanson G230 - What's best operating RPM?I'm converting a Robbe Futura SE to gas (just got my adjustable engine mount back from the shop). I can now run a number of pulley combinations, and am wondering what speed I shoud run the Hanson engine at since I will be using a governor and need to select the best gearing.
The heli will be eventually put into a scale fuse so I'm not out for balls to the wall performance, rather I am looking for adequate power and above all else low vibration.
So what would be the best engine speed? I believe the stock engine runs best around 10,500 (full speed runs cooler and vibrates less), and am not sure but thought the Hanson could run up as high as 14,000 since the parts are balanced.
