Nope the ECO metal head set DOES NOT come with
thrust bearings. Ikarus (apparantly) has taken a
long , long , long ... time figuring out that most
of todays heli setups spin the head beyond 1800 rpm
and that Thrust Bearings are absolutely nessary...!
Actually I'm still not really sure if they get it.
Will have to wait and see what comes with the ECO-8
Royal. I'f they haven't figured things like this out
yet, then the futre of the ECO is clearly a bleak one.
What's even more outlandish, was the Idea of the ECO-16
on ikarus's fiber composite blades. The poor head didn't
stand a chance.
In any case, Yes you need to get a set of Thrust bearings
in there, once this is done all the nasty vibration stuff
will go away. Spent a good bit of time learning this myself,
and am happy to say that I still have an 8 and a 16 flying
nicely.
