e-Robbe Eolo > Robbe Belt drive or HeliUp Wire drive

I'm in the process of getting my Eolo ready for the new flying season. Which would you recommend using? Right now the HeliUp system is installed, but I have the Belt drive from Robbe.

Thanks,
John

Belt drive absolutely, or the more expensive Robbe torque tube.

I never had much luck with the wire drive. Most of the problem is that there is only one set screw at the end fittings, which pushes the wire over to one side

I love the belt drive

Torque Tube? I didn't realise Robbe made a Torque Tube for the Eolo. Do you know the part Number?

Thanks,
John

it's not one part number, it is all part of their super expensive kit. Better to buy the belt setup

BTW, my friend GWS is trying to sell his here on RR, and includes the belt setup. If you are interested, the heli is nice and I'm sure at a good price.

I already have the belt drive so I'll go with that.

the kit is only $35 which is not that expensive. How much to convert to belt?

Which kit are you refering to? A belt conversion will set you back more than $100.00 usd since you will have to order from Europe. There are no US suppliers for Eolo. US dollar has taken a nose dive against Euros so buying anything from Europe right now is not a good situation.

The Torque tube kit is $35 at rcmarket. I know of several stores states side that stock eolo parts.

Don't be mislead by their web site. I called them about six months ago and they told me they do not stock any more Eolo parts. Your best luck would be european dealers such as ercmarket.com
