How well do the quick helis hold up in a crash? Thay are all metal so does the metal break or bend in crash or can you still use most parts?

I pranged mine in last summer.. tail first.. typical crash...
destroyed parts are as follow and Approx prices for each..\

Tail boom 15.00
both upper side frames 24.00 (metal)
Main mast 9.00
Flybar 6.00
Cheap woodies 30.00
tail blades 7.00
main gear (cheap plastic) 10.00
1 control link to Swash 5.00 3pc set..
Main mast bearings 8.00
Head spindles 8.00
Tail Shaft 5.00
Bearings for tail shaft 6.00
Landing Gear 30.00 (I glued this together)
total If I had bought new Landing gear 163.00

Glad the electronics were fine.. I have just layed the machine over a couple of times on it's side and just got away with the usual.. Blades and flybars.... Something to be said about flying in tall soft grass.. The metal usually will bend, but you must check your crash parts carefully, because a bad part sometimes can be difficult to spot... My recommendation is go the carbon fiber route.. a little bit lighter and if the part is not obviously broken, Chances are it's fine to reuse..
