Hello, I am shopping for my next heli and want a 46 size. I have a 30 raptor I'm learning on and want to move up soon. I am looking at a shuttle rg or a mystar. Are they worth the money? I want something durable that isn't all plastic. Any help would be greatly apprciated! I've already learned a LOT just by looking around here! Thanks!

Mike,

Have you already ruled out converting your 30 to a 46 or 50 raptor? This would be the cheapest route unless you wanted to keep the 30 as a second machine to fly.

I want to keep my 30 raptor for trying the new stuff first, since parts aren't too bad to replace. Besides, you have to have more than one, right?

You're exactly right! I don't know anyone that has been flying for more than a year that doesn't have at least 2 helis or more. It's a good idea as you say to keep the 30 to practice new moves. I learned the hard way when I had my Raptor 60 and Vigor at the field and chose to try new moves on the Vigor. Well, it got ugy and expensive to fix. I should have tried the moves on the rappy first. The same crash would have costed about $80 instead of $300. As for you chosing another heli, I have never seen a TSK mystar or a Shuttle fly. What about an Ergo 46 or a Hirobo Sceadu?

I fly the Mystar 46 and some pretty "Hi-Zoot" 60's and have been flying helis for over 15 years. As I am an oldfart and a relatively slow typist may I refer you to my answer to a similar question in the main discussion area under the "second heli" title.

I think you will find the new Century Falcon SE V2 a great choice for the reasons listed.

I didn't mean to repeat a question. I guess I'll look around a little before I ask. I hadn't thought about the falcon before, but I'll definitely look into it. Sounds like a good heli. Thanks!!!!

Next heli?

Last I heard TSK was out of production? Did something happen when I wasn't looking?? Or, do I have that mixed up with something else? --------BladeRunner.

Is producing TSK parts. I was going to sell my MyStar 60 but It flies so damn nice I decided to keep it. It's very smooth and stable in a hover and it was the first heli I ever did circuits with.
I have since flown my Sceadu 50, Raptor 30, and Raptor 60 in FF. The Rappy 60 and Sceadu seem much easier to fly to me but I'm still very green at this FF game.

BTW jwb, The Century Falcon SE V2 is a fine machine. There's one locally with an OS 46 in it and that machine is a winner.

Thanks for all the comments, I am seriously looking into getting a falcon. I'm fairly new to this and need all the help I can get!
