Zero to 3D Competition in 6 Days
Thanks to the hard work of Rob Turnbull we’ve managed to create a 3D competition open to all UK 3D pilots.

Well after the "test the water" post it was decided that there really was a need for an open 3D competition in the UK this year

Hence www.3dchampionship.co.uk was born

Overview of the 3D Championship 2007 competition
Pilots will be required to submit 5 set manoeuvres at the highest K factor they are capable of performing. K factors will be used to split pilots into groups based on skill level, if required, up to 2 groups.

After all pilots have performed their set manouevres, each pilot will then perform their 3 minute freestyle flight which may or may not be set to the pilots choice of music.

The combined scores from the two rounds will determine the fly-off positions.

The fly-offs will see the top pilots from each group perform their set manouevres and freestyle flights again (from a zeroed score) and the result of these fly-offs will determine the winners.

Who can enter?
The 3D Championship 2007 competition is open to every 3D pilot in the UK, and will be judged using the world renowned 3DX format.

Previous competitions have no bearing on the entry eligibility of any pilot.

Further information - and how to enter
Please visit www.3dchampionship.co.uk for full details, entry form, supporting downloads, competition news, etc.

Are you the best UK 3D flyer for 2007?
Find out at Leamington Hobby Centre - 29 to 30 September 2007

Please fill out your entry form and enter as soon as possible. The more entrants we get the bigger the event we can put on. This really is your competition.

We hope to use all money made to make the 2007 event as big as it can be, however if there is any money left over we will donate this to charity. Not Mike + Rob's charity, but to Cancer Research UK.

Great event Edders, the raffle was particularly entertaining!!

Weather was great if a little on the chilly side
Would be nice to see more pilots fly to music to drown out the sound of those noisy OS rear bearings.
Looking forward to the next one....see you there.

Edders and Rob have now demonstrated that it is possible to organise an event and compete in it too. I mentioned this Jeff Barringer so perhaps we can expect to see him compete at next year's 3D Masters ;-)

Very well done to the dynamic duo - a very well-run competition. Thanks also to the pilots who entertained everyone with such fantastic displays of flying.

Had a great time this weekend. My first time at LHC and came to cheer on the HHF team. The competition was obviously well run but still had a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

More airhorns needed for next year!
