That was some awesome flying... Glad to see more and more videos of the Knight 3D doing hard core 3D. Was this Knight 3D completely stock?

Awesome piloting skill!

Vance Hill is one very talented heli pilot! That piro loop is just WAY COOL! This man knows how to rock the Knight.

Yes, very impressive being able to see the capabilities of this new heli in the hands of a great pilot.

Wow...thanks for the compliments guys!!!To answer the question...Yes that is a stock Knight 3D...the ONLY part that isnt stock is the tail rotor control rod,Rodney replaced the standard rod with a carbon fiber one....The Knight 3D is definately one HOT setup!!!
Rodneys setup on this machine:
Hyper 50
Prototype muffler
Rotortech 610 Pro blades
Rotortech 95mm tailblades
DX7 radio
9252 servos
GV 1 gov set at 2000rpms
Logictech 6100 gyro

Big KUDOS to Rodney for having one HOT setup and doing a great job on trimming and fine tuning the machine. Now I just need to get my own Knight 3D

Not even your machine?!!!?

Vance, so you put down a flight like that and it isn't even your heli! My question is how much time did you have with it before you made this video?

Does this qualify as one of those "fly it like you stole it" situations, or more than likely, was it a little more tense flying someone else's heli?

What are your impressions of the differences and similarities of flight characteristics of the 3D compared to the Sport? Again great job flying!

that was my 4th flight with the machine....the Sport flies VERY well...its a great heli....the 3D just seems to be a little quicker on collective changes and on the cyclic...it all around feels a little more crisp...the 3D gives the impression of more power but i think that might have to do with the vibration isolation mount for the motor...overall im very impressed with the 3D,i cant wait to get mine and really wring it out...i tend to do manuvers a little lower with my own machine...thats about the only difference....im really trying to be careful with Rodneys machine since the replacement frames havnt arrived in the US yet, cant crash it before the BHam funfly in a couple weeks

Its great to have good friends that let you fly it like you stole while they tape it. That was Vance's 6th flight with the heli

"Rodney for having one HOT setup and doing a great job on trimming and fine tuning"

Vance,

I also use sheet metal shears and a 3/4 inch impact for all my trimming and fine tuning (Rodney taught me well at Wichita) please advise of any special tips for better results!! Hey when you go B-ham go easy on the ditch or Rodney will take the 3D away.

Hmmmmm a Hooters scheme for the canopy, that could make for some nice airbrush artwork (not me, I'm pretty handy with a spray can, but thats about it)!

Kind of funny that the guy that owns the 3D, and the friend that flew his machine counted a different number of flights!
