"Another thing that ruins it for me is my recent dealings with Mike at RCDirect. If I have to go thru that guy for parts there is no way I will stay with the Logo brand."

Hmm. I hear ya. Service is everything. Not exactly your experience but one we can all relate to goes something like this. Say you buy a new car with a minor defect and the dealer fixes it right away, you like the car and probably forget it ever had a problem. When the dealer doesn't fix it right after many attempts, you don't like the car nearly as much, even though the initial quality was exactly the same.

Am I making sense?

Well guys,

I have decided to let the Logo 20 go. If any of you know someone that may have interest please let me know. I will have pics ready later tonight.

Thanks

misskimo,

You are right that is nice of him to offer his batteries, but I just don't think it is worth driving up to Vegas. If someone buys this thing I'll be a happy camper.

for what it's worth, astro flight has a new charger out that will charge your 24 cell packs in a half hour or less. it's called the 112 Deluxe, and sells for $150.

Hi there.
Imho I'd say it's the right mix that matters:
E. g. .60-class VARIO Silence, 30 cells nicd sanyo 2000 or 2400, kontronik brushless tango motor (weighing 300 g !!) and appropriate controller, ready to fly at 4.6 kg and hovering about 10 to 12 mins, 8 to 10 at the low temperatures these days.
Which means around 20 mins of adrenaline (for the semi-beginner) with two packs and 1.2 hours of charging and maintenance in between.
And btw. no cooling probs, since motor and controller only become moderately warm (say 30 to 50 °C max, the cells maybe 60 °C max, even in summer).
This is no power e-heli, but with 5.2 kg inside a H 500 D body makes for a nice and silent scale heli with very good performance and flight-time.
After all I've read and heard about all sorts of batteries, I don't believe anyone promising up to 25 mins of 3D with some electric heli for the time being. It's a matter of mathematics calculating the power you need to keep the fan airborne for so long (e.g. for the silence about 450 to 500 watts hovering, mor than a kW if pushed to the limits), and the capacity a battery-pack must therefore have at a given voltage. Do YOU believe in magic ??

Born to fly. Forced to work.
