To be able to re programme the receivers via usb from your own pc. This could open the door for different failsafe positions etc and cover any upgrades for receiver firmware. I would pay for this as it would be a good upgrade.

Good luck

I'm using the Spektrum module with my 9303. Works well. The only thing I would like changed is a new module case, similar to the way that XPS has done with their current JR module case, so the antenna comes up in front of the handle. Gets rid of the cable and would make the module so much better.

something i would like to see done is to be able to hook the dx7 up to a PC and have a model library on the computer that you can save your info to. nothing pisses me off worse than when youre trying to program a new model in and you accidently copy a blank model memory over one you already had set up. took me forever to reprogram my rappy 90 cuz of that.

EDIT---or better yet.....why not make an SD slot and have an external memory card like the 14mz

No i havent flown before but I did stay at a holiday inn last night.

Instead of waiting for a new version, just do the internal wiring mod. Took me 30 minutes and now my XP9303 is an X9303 (minus model-match and a couple of other goodies).

Why does one need a backlit screen? I've never had any trouble reading my radio screens just as they are and it would only serve to consume more battery while it's on.

Paul,

I just purchased two new AR9000 RX's when checking for the quick connect feature I noticed the RX's resumed normal operation with in one second after power being resumed. But I don't get the blinking led feature like I do with my JR R921 RX's.
Do I have the quick connect firmware upgrade on my new AR9000's and can I get the blinking led brown out indicator feature on the AR9000's
Thanks

I have 2 new AR7000's that behave the same. People are telling me that it's possible to have the quick connect feature but without the blinking LED. Personally that doesn't give me much confidence, so I'm going to send them in when my 2 free Rx's show up.

I wish they'd put a firmware version sticker on these so we could know for sure.

Well I called horizon support today and the tech said that if the leds don't blink on my AR9000's then I don't have quick connect.
As usual this is contrary to what we have been told in the past.
Getting consistant tech info. from the horizon tech support is a crap shoot at best.
This is where either John Adams or Paul Beard posting to clear up the confusion would be of a great benefit.

OK I did not read any of the above 14 pages but let me just put my own wish list

(0) throttle cut switch instead of needing to revert to mixing with some GEAR channel or so
(1) neck strap at right position so that thing gets balances
(2) retractable antenna instead of permanent thing sticking out.
(3) cyclic travel limiter provided with the radio
(4) better support for governor instead of messing with AUX2 and custom mixer(s)
(5) a frequency band other than 2.4, with a proper (law enforced?) channel assignment protocol. The 2.4 is free for everyone to mess around, I think this is a very bad thing.
(6) Use the normal (Futaba) charger connection instead of warning for the odd charger connection. Low prio, I re-soldered it without problems.
(7) turnable, ergonomic sticks, like multiplex has but up to 45˚.

I would like to see Spectrum along with the other manufactures make the radio case with the same technology as the latest average toothbrush handle, you know the ones with the rubberized grips?
Why can't the case be done the same way with built in flush rubberized grippage.

The AMA is way better than what you belong to!

THE AR7000 RX

1. If your going to sell the DX7 w/ar7000rx with Digital Servos for a higher price than without servos, maybee spktrum should include some decent or some real DIGITAL SERVOS other than the CRAP DS821's This way we wont have to plug in some nice FUTABA S9252'A,OR9254'S,ect and cut the tabs off. If your going to sell them with the DS821's you need to stamp a big warnning!!in floresent writing on all six sides of the box. or just sell them all without servos and let pepple buy what they want. because if a biginner doesn't know about them and KILLS someone it's not going to be funny.
2. The little rx needs to come at least 2-3 in. longer stock, to start than if you want to extend it from there you do so.and the little plug on the end of that is to flimsy.

3.The AR7000 rx should be screwed together instead of clamped, becauseif you use every channel like most of us do,and push your connectors all the way in so there snug,or anybody cutting tabs off other so called servos to make them fit tight and don't take off enough of the tab it will spread th rx apart eventually vibrating open. pepple using futaba servos in the ar7000rx I would watch out for this!
4.maybe this should be No.2 More than 1100mA rx battery. Don't get me wrong it's user friendly I like the tech. Ilike the radio were just talking improvments which will deter people from switching brands.SPKTRUM IF YOU ARE STILL INCLUDING PACKAGES WITH THE DS821'S YOU NEED TO PUT A BRIGHT WARNING LABLE INSIDE EVERY BOX. A LOT OF YOUR DIST. ARE NOT TELLING PEOPLE!!.

rubberized grips

I'm very happy with the current grips - very easy to remove, I hate these space- and balance wasters and they were the first thing I removed.
