Micro Maniac.... the X9303 is or would have been the DX9 sort of speak, there will be no DX9, the X9303 JR radio is clearly all Spektrum technology, the module is stamped as such etc.....

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

What are you smoking? Did you read all of my short post? Do you see any difference between the X9303 and the DX6i? One is a Spektrumized JR radio with a big "JR" logo on it and the other is a Spektrum radio top to bottom and the first non-JR-retro-fitted Spektrum air radio - If there's not going to be a DX9 because the X9303 is the DX9 then why wasn't it labeled a DX like the rest of the Spektrum retro-fitted JR radios?

Hi guys

After looking at the new AR 9100 Rx on the Spektrum web site. The one with the two large power cables at the back and a 'relay' switch to turn it on and off.

A similar thing could be done on the AR 7000 Rx. There is enough space to add a second power plug below the 'thro' and 'aile' plugs. and this could be wired directly into the Rx to give a dual power imput.

If a relay on/off switch could be wired into the hardware of the AR7000 Rx, there is enough space to add a 3rd plug between the std. power plug and 'my' new second power plug.

This would make a cool upgrade to a AR7100.....

Regards

Paul

I would like to suggest the ability to use the "Flight Log" on the next 7 Ch. RX - the AR7100 or whatever it'll be called. This information is really useful from the AR9000.

...yep...

The AR9100 has an internal "ideal diode" that actively manages both power sources.

The receiver electronics is separately powered redundantly from both power sources also.

Oh - Something I'd like to see is the throttle-hold function available in airplane mode - I'm so used to it with helis that it's reflex to hit throttle-hold rather than drop the throttle stick plus the throttle stick is so easy to accidently bump and kick on an electric motor - My simpler planes I setup in heli mode just to have the throttle-hold for my reflex and safety etc

In fact I'd really like to see an end to separate heli/airplane modes altogether and be able to use whatever function I want no matter what the aircraft is - If I have a use for a function that the radio has it seems silly that I can't access and utilize it because of the type of aircraft that I had to choose between

And a single menu system instead of two so we can switch between models or make certain adjustments without rebooting the radio while performing finger-yoga to get into the menu systems

Micro did you not figure out yet that the DX6i was made for the friken 400 blade heli?? There are several "tailored" 2.4 ghz radios for crap like the blade cx to.... I think it is you smoking something geeesh. Let me put it this way I will be "extremely" suprised if there is a DX9, seriously. You have "Spektrum" components in the X9303 already, how would it make sense in any way to make another simply relabeled with a few minor differences,,,I bet you a penny on this one k?

Ok - But you're already losing the facts game with me - The DX6i as I was a little surprised to learn myself is not just a B400 RTF radio - It's a legit update of the DX6 that's all Spektrum instead of a retro-fitted JR - Outside the B400 package it comes with an AR6200 RX for versatile use ($180)

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/...?ProdID=SPM6600

If they weren't reserving the option for a DX9 then why didn't they go ahead and name the X9303 the DX9? I definitely predict more Spektrum DX radios to come and JRs to be Spektrum equipped like the X9303

micro,

Look near the bottom of page 9 and you will see where I posted a quote from Mr. Paul Beard himself. He clearly stated previously that there are no plans for a "DX9". The rest of the world will be getting the Jr X9303 rebadged as the Jr DSX9 (just like we have the XP9303 and they currently have the 9XII). I myself do like calling it the X9303 cause it looks and sounds too close to it's 72 mhz brother, the XP9303. I wish they would have named it the DX9 to make it simple for everyone. But in Jr's infinite wisdom, they chose to eliminate the "P". Oh well, this is what we have to live with.

Page 9 of what where? And are you sure it wasn't just current plans of the time (pre-X9303 release)?

According to your explaination of the X9303/DX9 why wasn't the DX7 called the X7202 then?

JR supplied Spektrum with radios to get off the ground sooner and cheaper and in return JR gets in on 2.4ghz - Spektrum is off the ground and making their own radios now it looks to me

They called it the DX7 cause the made it not JR . Pretty straight foward imho, and Yes Paul stated there was not going to be a DX9.

Spektrum made the DX7 did they?

JR SX600 Spektrum DX6
JR 7202 Spektrum DX7
JR XP9303 Spektrum?JR? X9303

Now who made what other than 2.4ghz RF decks and RXs until the DX6i?

Spektrum DX6iSorry I can't seem to match an existing JR radio to this one - I wonder why?

Micro you are not even making any sense anymore, it is like you are arguing over nothing. Anyhow yes they did make the DX7, why is that not obvious to you...? Spektrum adopted the 7202 case, everyone knows that JR and Spektrum were working together from the beggining, who cares really..... as long as they acheive their goals. I have a X9303 right in front of me, on the back looking at the Module it has the Spektrum Logo right on it man, this is all very clear imho. I own a DX7 as well to.

What do you mean how isn't it obvious to me? Because it's a JR 7202 with a Spektrum 2.4ghz RF deck in it - How is that not obvious to you?

OK so look on the front of your X9303 and what prominent logo do you see?

I can look on the back of many products to see that they use other brand featured components but that doesn't make the product that other brand's
And that other brand is still also likely to have their own version of that product

Now where does this DX6i fit into your both companies are the same company? Why does Spektrum need a radio design of their own when they have JR's existing radios to retor-fit?

Page 9 of what where?

Page 9 of this very thread. Do I have to include a link as well to help point you in the right direction???

If you use the "Search" function, you will find another thread where Paul Beard stated that there were no plans for a DX9. I'll make it easy for you. Check out the JR Announces 9 & 12 Channel 2.4Ghz Systems thread. He states it at the bottom of page 4. I don't know how to make it any easier for you. You can see it for yourself where he stated it. There is some other info in that thread that can help educate you as well.

Just accept that fact that we have the Jr X9303 using Spektrum's DSM2 technology. There will not be a DX9 here in the states, according to Paul Beard.

Sorry I looked but didn't find it - People have different numbers of posts per page therefore different numbers of pages per thread etc depending on settings and links to threads etc

There are no plans for a DX9 at this time
Just as I suspected he'd have phrased it around time of the X9303 release

I wouldn't be so surprised to someday see a DX9 with a Spektrum emblem prominently moulded into the face if I were you
