Has anyone used the BT Orbit motor mount with an Orbit 15-14? Did it fit? Which crutch were you using? My 15-14 will not fit the mount or the aluminum crutch without modification.

Any help much appreciated.

Do you mean BT's regular aluminum CNC motor mount for $29? I don't recall seeing a special BT Orbit mount. Unless its from the BT Freestyle? What type of modifications would you need to do? Best to send Matt (BT) an e-mail at shumaker@owc.net and explain your situation. I think I've seen pictures of the Orbit 15-14s on the aluminum crutch, crooked and Blade. Hope this works out for you.

Orbit mount problem fixed

A little machining to make a spacer to go between the crutch and the back face of the mount gave me the clearance for the fan on the 15-14. The other part of my problem was so stupid I can't bear to bring myself to tell. (I had the mount upside down!)

Good. That was an easy fix.

Just curious: What type of battery pack and ESC are you using? And anticipated head speed?

I am running a Schulze 18.46K ESC and will start test flights with an A123 pack. For final configuration I am looking at TP3300-3SX (280 grams). I am guessing but I think in AP configuration I want about 1800 rpm on six grips.
