That's another great photo Jamthomas - I'm wondering have you tried experimenting with circular polarisers and UV filters on your camera - I like the "ambience" of your shots, but I think losing the UV would make it really leap out - not better you understand, just different.

uv filter

Thanks PAl-rotor, I just got a uv filter and am going to try it out. I won't need it this week though. We got rain coming in.

Another pic from yesterday.

Lower than you would think. I would guess a majority of these shots are around 200-300'
Several of the last posts of mine might even be half of that.

Stop the clock!!! PAL-Raptor is ready to roll out in 24h flat..damn I love this thing, I never had a heli fall together like this before - proably the biggest & only hold up was soldering & shrink wrapping six joints to extend the tail sevo lead that was too short.

(I added some more piccies to my post above).

This is the town I live in. Taken from a quick test flight, in the parking lot. Yes, I have a scanner.

Camera platform

Here is a set up I recently made on my Fury Extreme 91 for using my Sony Cybershot U20 2.0MP mini cam. It is hinged and can swing up to 90 degrees for straight on shots also. I used a 2ch 27mhz rc car radio w/ a 270mah battery. It is super light. Can't wait to try it out soon, because its been around 2F here lately brrrrrrr.......

Couple shots of an area you all probably recognize by now.

Ever notice the "oil stripes" on the road before?
