Here is the home made swash tool leveling for my Hawk Pro. Do not need to take the rotor head off, slips on and up against the shaft to allowing squaring of the swash to the main rotor shaft. Note the extra small hole is not used, a tappped hole from another project.

No, the Raven has a completely different control system.

SteveH, just to confirm

With the rudder servo at static pitch (rudder servo center of travel) the tail rotor blade should actually be pointing along its cord to the right paddle? (see diagram) thanks

>>>
When you setup the static pitch on the tail rotor (pitch at the center), the way I like to do it is put the system so the rotor blades are parrallel with the tail boom of the heli (one blade straight ahead and one blade straight back). Then with the tail rotor such that one tail rotor blade is sticking straight up, sight down the cord of that tail rotor blade toward the flybar, and adjust your linkage so the line of sight down that tail rotor blade points to the flybar paddle on the Right side of the heli.

This will get your tail rotor pitch set in the ball park for your first flight. This setup will work on any clockwise (right hand) rotation heli.

Yes, you have it correct. You will still have to do some trimming, but that is the starting point.

linkages' length of a Hawk

If it's not too much trouble, can someone posts his(her) linkage lengths of your Hawk, please? That would make the setting much simpler

Thank you,
Ammarin

Ammarin,

Using the set-up procedure that Steve describes in the "sticky" at the top of this Century forum, is one the best way to go about it because just giving lengths would not take into account all the different servos and the differences between where their output shaft centers are from the front of the servo

Parts...

Pitch gage should be easy. Anyone that sells heli's should have one. HeliProz is a good one to check with. Century also has one. If you look at Heli-Worlds parts list for the Hawk Pro/Sport/III you should be able to find almost any part you'll need. Of course some parts may be discontinued or have been upgraded.

Hawk III parts are still readily avaiable through any hobby scorce that has an account with Century. As you are in the USA - I would suggest Rick's or Heli-World.

As many parts are comaptible between the III and Pro, If you know the part number you can also check at Tower Hobbies.
