My 46 is just about done. I am waiting for some servo extensions, servo tape, and Rx padding. The build was really easy. I am getting a lot of pressure to fly it, the boss (CO) really wants to see it fly. Does anyone know where I can get some heli fuel that will ship to Military overseas FPO address? I am in Iraq still, on the second extension.

where are you in iraq. i leave for good old Taji on saturday. if your not to far out of the way i could bring you some. i play with the real deal (CH-47) every day so if you have an airfield around you i'm sure one or more of my pilots will be heading your way.

Thanks for the offer, and the kind words. We have almost reached our rotation date, as of lastnight I actually packed up my 46 so I can mail it back home. It would have been nice to get a couple flights over here, there is/will be a next time.

I have been to Taji many times, I am in AA.

Hey, I am sorry you missed out on flyin while overseas, But the question still holds for many over in Iraq. How to get the fuel into the country or how to get it shipped to the country. I am going to Iraq for the first time next month and I dont even know where I am going yet, but I want to take my 30 size shuttle over or have it shipped to me when I get there. I am in ARNG and have never been deployed before, I dont know the rules and regs and a little advice from those who have been there would be very helpful. How did you get your model in country? How did you get your fuel?... so on and so forth? Thanks in advance for all the tips.

take it with you, or just have it mailed. its all up to your command. i had a gas plane the first tour. the command loved it and had to fly it as well. when we got a camera it became the best thing to do after hours. my fuel came from a city north of us Musuel (not sure how to spell it. i went twice and baught 5 gallons. that was enough for the time left. not sure if it can be mailed. if you can order it threw UPS or DHL then you can have it sent to iraq no problem. the last three tours in iraq i just flew ePower. parts dont break as much. talk with your command or just wait a few months to get in the groove of things. besides the first few months you will not have the time to play if your work load is like ours was.
