How long does a batterypack last on a DX7?

I put mine to test, just to find out.
It´s a 1500 mAh NiMH pack.
It is inside in my livingroom and about 21ªC.
After 67 minutes 52 seconds the voltage reads 10.3 Volt.

Stay tuned I will keep on posting until it´s empty.

It'll run somewhere north of 5 hours. At least mine does.

Are we talking flat or low voltage alarm (9.8)?

We are talking low battery alarm, i.e. useful voltage.

After 1 hour 59 minutes 11 seconds, still 10.3 volts
and counting........

My 2500 mah Lipo holds forever, had used it for a few days, left it on for hours by mistake, took 700mah back.

Regular use (daily) and I charge every third week or so.

yeah, I guess thats the way to go Mr.Mel, but as long as the NiMh pack
seems to work so good I think I will stick to it for a while. My only
worry is the cold, as you know we sometimes have very cold winters
here in Norway and NiMH is not very good in keeping the voltage on a useful level when it is below zero degrees outside.

I have "cheated" a little, I formatted the pack with a Pulsar2 charger,
cycled it 5 times with 0.2 A current, took forever but then you get a well "run in" batterypack. I also use a Sirius charger in my fieldbox, it is a little jewel that charger, just charge the RX and TX batterypacks when refuelling or changing motorbatteries, and I never have to worry about running out of energy for the RX and TX.

ok
2 hours 58 minutes 20 seconds, still 10.3 Volt!!!!
sterting to be a bit boring, nothing happends!

Its not bad, seems to use a lot less energy than the JR3810( JR8103) I used to use.

This is much more than enough, maybe I should call off the test?

Do you have a mah meter on the charger?, just call it off and see how much it takes back, then you can estimate how long it will really last.

Like I said, I've run mine for around 5 hours and 40 minutes or so and it was still going strong. Leave the thing on and see how long it lasts. I'm betting it'll end up being about 6 and a half hours.

passing 4 hours 32 minutes, the reading shows 10.1 volts.

Yes Mr.Mel I do have a charger with a meter(or two, beeing a true geek ), so when I eventually give in, I will charge the thing and tell you all how many mAh the charger is able to put in again.

And if the weather tomorrow is like today with a few degrees below zero ªC, I will do the same test outside for a comparison.
