Radio - JR & Spektrum DSM > DX7 and GV1, working but one problem

I have my GV1 setup so it is off in normal and two different head speeds activate when I go to idle one and two. My only problem is the throttle hold will not shut off the GV1 when I activate while in idle ups. How can I make this work? Right now, I have to first go back to normal mode to deactivate GV1 and then hit hold.

Any help appreciated.

there are many ways to do this

I use the simplest way, which is to activate stick switching (low throttle shuts it off) that way when you hit throttle hold, the governor turns off

Hey all,
I assigned it to the throttle stick and the hold does activate over the idle1 and idle2 positions. But I have this on a gas machine and to help out the GV-1 from overspeeding on descents I brought by mid point on throttle curve way down which now turns off gov (turns off at around 23% throttle.) Is there another way to have hold overide idle up without using the throttle stick as activate?

Thanks

The GV1 is either active or not active, if you are getting an overspeed on descent the head must be autoing above the setpoint.

There is a method to shut the GV1 off using a separate mix, but I have not set it up that way in the past. I know it can be done, not sure how.

Once the gov is on it is on..

you are not helping it by lowering your curve.. put the curve back up so the gov stays on...

Once the gov is on it does not look at your throttle curve anymore.. with the acception to turn off.

Guess I will have to figure out why it is letting it overspeed by 200 rpm or so on descents. It is the engine overspeeding and not just blades, you can hear it.

Thanks

maybe you are hearing a difference of sound when the engine is unloaded versus loaded? But you say 200RPM, so I assume you measured that with a tach?

perhaps it could be clutch related. I use the GV`1 and have NO problems...
