I have had an order put in for my heli Spektrum DX7 for over a month now. The back order date keeps getting pushed back. Does anyone no what is going on? I see them all over eBay but, I really don't like to buy my electronics on there for return and support reasons.

Most of the ebay DX7 sales are actually from RC stores/retailers. You can check on their listing or their name/store.

I bought one on ebay a few days ago for $329 with free shipping from an authorized dealer.

If you're lucky, you may get one for 305-315ish.

I was holding out for a heli version but got the air version because of my lack of patience. Its cool though becaue I changed the ratcheting mech out. It is also my first air radio so the other switch differences wont be a big deal.

I just called the above retailer and they to are waiting on a order of the DX7 They said it would be about a week; which is what my local hobby shop told me to.

Guess I'll hurry up and wait a little longer

Well,

I stopped into my hobby store where I have the DX7 on order. His ordering system is not showing any release date anymore but not saying that its instock either. What a pain in the BUT! I have call all the retailers that you guys have provided and they to say its looking like a week or so before they get some. The only ones they have instock is for airplanes.

I guess the plus side is that the weather is to bad here to be able to fly. If it was nice I would be beating my wife over this. Just kidding. Sucks waiting on new toys. Just wish I new why the big hold up on the orders. Like I said before its been a month.

Ok i'm done crying now.

i bought the airplane version and using it on my helis. works great, its the same radio!! whats the differnce? all the switchs are in the same places, it just has the little airplane logo on the radio instead of the little heli.

Do you know for sure that they had it in stock. I have found that some of the sites i've been going to dosn't say their out of stock but when I've called them they don't have any. Some of the retailers don't keep there web stores up to date like they should.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll call them tomorrow and check on stock status.

During Checkout at RC Hover they give you a warning that the item will display Quantity 0 if it is out of stock or backordered. I received Quantity 1 during checkout, but I'll probably give them a call tomorrow to confirm also.

No, they are in different places. On the airplane version the flight mode switch is on the front, second from the left. On the heli version the switch is in the proper position of top left corner.

The airplane version also has a ratchet style throttle whereas the heli version has a smooth throttle. That can easily changed, however.
