HI I'am new on runryder.

i'am going to buy a new 90 helikit but i cant make up my mind to
buy a AIRSKIPPER90 or a VIBE90. i like f3c type flying style and both helis are ment to using with 3d.

but one tking is fore sure it's gonna be a jrheli

I've just finished building my Airskipper 90 and it looks really good.
I would say that the AS90 straight out of the box looks to be more aimed at F3C flying, but with just a little adjustment it will handle 3D without any problem at all.

Although I dont own, and have never flown a Vibe, I think i'm right in saying that it's the reverse of the above, in that it's ideally suited to 3D, but can easilly be set up for F3C flying.

Either way, they're both great machines.

The choice is your's to make !!!

I must say both helis are Awsome! The AS90 is a good value to money heli
since the vibe is more a luxury performance class
Lets say like the AS90 is a Benz CLK230 and the Vibe is more like
Benz SL55 AMG

Make your choice lol

I have to agree with the above that the Venture is also a great choice of heli for F3C and both 3D. The Venture is an awesome heli overall truthfully and I love mine even though I use it for only 3D now. For F3C I prefer my Sylphides but I have been toying with the idea of putting a Sylphide head on the Venture to build a Sperio.

What thickness mainshaft does the AS90 use? I don't love the Venture's head for F3C and prefer the Sylphide's so if one could stick a Sylphide head on the AS90 it should be a lethal combo for F3C. If I'm not mistaken K&S make a yoke for the Sylphide head which can convert it from the std 10mm shaft to 11mm shaft as well? Not completely sure though but think I've seen it on the site.

I have previously owned a Venture 90, however more recently bought a Airskipper 90 and a Vibe.
After building the Airskipper 90 and flying it for the first time I returned the Vibe and got another Airskipper 90
Parts are a lot cheaper than a Venture 90 however quality is still very high.

Almost the same heli as the Venture 90 but…
G10 frames (cheaper to replace and absorbs vibes better)
Plastic tail gearbox and different pulleys (cheaper but extra pulley for belt tension. The venture can strip teeth on belt)

What sold it for me was fact this heli is based on F3C type mechanics but has the advantage that the JR Japan have launched this as their 3D 90 model?!?

It also depends on what type of flying you are doing, for smooth flying and medium 3D then the Airskipper 90 is the one. For outrages 3D I believe the Vibe would be better.

I fly Sportsman’s at the moment and trying to get into F3C fully. I would highly recommend the Airskipper90.

Sorry I forgot to add I think the main mast is 12mm
I think the K&S head is for 10 mm.

Lets see what JR produce for the Airskipper 90 as they have brought out a metal CS version for the 50.


I Would love to see a basic metal head for the Airskipper 90.
(Not that it needs it) After flying a AVANT head I think a metal head would make the airos 10% better but the roundabout is we would probably lose the benifit of the plastic in the hover.

I don't see an Airskipper 50 in your heli fleet !
I doubt you'll notice very much difference between the Sylphide 50 and the AS50 for stability and F3C type flying.

Check it out sometime, you wont be sorry I assure you.

Yes. It's an Hatori 937 (which is identical to the 938 apart from the exhaust manifold being made to suit the YS91 engine)

The AS90, Vibe, and Venture 90 will all do both F3C and 3D, this has been proven over the last few years, with people like Curtiss flying vibes (and vigors) in F3c and 3D competition. The vibe will do both disiplines pretty much out of the box. If its an all round machine your after then I would go for the vibe. All these machines are top quality and you won't be disappointed, whatever choice you make.
