Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > Futaba 9C and 9001 servo

Well I chickened out on the 9Z as the replacment for my 8U and just preordered my 9C from Tower. We shall see if I made a mistake when the radio and stuff gets here...in a month or so.

I ordered the radio equiped with the 9001 servos. I know they are no 9202's but they arn't 3001's either. What I am wondering is are they very good at all? According to Futaba's web page they only lack a little bit of the Torque of the 9202. I was thinking of putting these servos into one of my crash test 30/50 birds and seeing how they hold up.

Seriously, anyone running the 9001?

When I do get the radio I will be sure to start posting info, unless someone else beats me to it.

Thanks for any input!

I just took a look at the 9C at the Jamboree and I was very impressed. It has a real clean looking face and feels comfortable in the hands. With no one explaining anything, I had most of the menu figured out in about five minutes. A nice radio. Whenever, in the far future, that Futaba replaces the 9Z, I hope they use the same clean cosmetic treatment that they used on the 9C.
