Gasser Model RC Helicopters > Large Blades for Z230.....

Happy New Year Everyone.......

I am curious to know the recommended maximum blade length that can be used with the JR Z230 stock gearing.

I have just finished my first season with helicopters and my only experience is with the Z230. During an earlier mishap I had to replace my stock 680mm wooden blades with 700mm fiberglas blades from Maverick. I'm not sure if I was really improving my hovering skills or if it was that much of a difference in the two blade sizes/types.

I have also noticed a GREAT difference with deleting the training gear. I'd like to adjust my trims and try my first 'auto', but 'cheat a bit with the largest blades my setup will support.

Thank you in advance for your attention, and replies.

I currently run NHP 710's and they work great. John at Airfoil Aviation is coming out with a long boom conversion in the next couple of weeks that will allow you to run 810's.
