I'm planning on using an AR7000 in my MP-XL-E.

Does anyone know the maximum current that the AR7000 receiver can handle?

Rgds,
Ralf

From Spektrum. It's been posted over and over again by Spektrum reps in various forums, and is specifically talked about on Horizon's site for the DX7. It is designed to use a 2s lithium pack without a regulator, the servos ar ethe limiting factor on the AR7000. I'm not making it up to mess with you, I promise.

I guess it's possible that the power bus in the AR7000 can handle 30amps along the bus. And that's an admirable target.

However, servo connectors can't nearly handle 30amps. Heck, they can barely handle five amps. And we use that tiny connector as the battery hookup on all receivers.

When are receiver designers going to design a high-current battery connector into the receiver? Our all-digital setups are already overloading the single servo connector.
