I have a question for those with the DX 7 in the heli version. If so I have a couple questions. The flight mode switch, is it a 3 position switch on the top left of the radio, or where is it if not there? Also, with the heli version, if you program an airplane with the airplane software, can you use the 3 position flight mode switch with the airplane software as well? Thanks

DX7 Heli flight mode (idle up) switch is a 3 position switch.

I have no idea what it would do to an airplane because once I bought my first TRex I haven't bothered with an airplane

Thanks, is the 3 position switch on the upper left like the 9303? can you go into the airplane software and find out about the flight modes? I guess what I am trying to figure out is in the airplane software can the dual rates be linked to the 3 position idle up switch (on the 9303 heli version the 3 position switch is called flap switch in the airplane software) thanks

Dual rates default to individual switches. Elevator left bottom switch, aileron right bottom switch, rudder top right. You can change dual rates to all be on one switch;aileron, elevator, rudder, flap2, flap0. 3 position switch is top left.

Ok, so no way to make the dual rates to the flight mode switch, or in the airplane mode is the 3 position switch called a flap switch?

In airplane mode, the 3 position switch is the flap switch, it does not work for dual rates.

ok thanks, that bites. So there is no way to match the dual rates to the idle up switch, how about the 3 position flap switch. When mated to it does it allow 3 settings or just 2? Looks like I will be holding out for a DX9.

And what makes you think that the DX9 (or whatever it may be called) will have that one specific feature that only you might want in a radio ??

Well, if the DX9 is like the 9303 which I bet it is, then it will.

Flyingrazor, The Heli version the left switch is for Idle up and Yes you can program it to automatically set Auto Dual Rate, and Expo..page 81. When you have a plane programmed in the Heli version the idle up switch becomes the flap and spoiler switch. Does this help?

Northern, I am trying to figure out if in airplane mode I can assign my dual rates to the idle up switch.
