I am a noobee and am thinking of getting a DX7. How does the feel of the joysticks compare to the upper end JR's and Futaba's?

Stick quality is brilliant i have used a JR PCM10S for 5 years and this is much better,,

After acquiring a DX7 I meant to dedicate my DX6 to sim use but the sticks feel so much better on the DX7 that I couldn't go back to the DX6 even for simming.

I see the DX7 advertised for airplane or heli. Is there any difference in the two?

A couple switches are swapped around and either a smooth or notched band comes installed on the throttle stick (both are included to swap out yourself though) and the programming defaults to selection of either heli or plane - If you fly both helis and planes I recommend the heli version for the switch layout etc.
