at the mumber of people who are dead set on getting an Aurora who have no idea that Carbon Xtreme has the FX, EFX, progarmmable head, and many other products for other helicopters?

I personally believe that the FX and EFX are just fine.

...but the AVANT EFX or FX is not we have seen flown by Alan Szabo on IRCHA 2006 demonstration. It is the NEWLY developed Aurora AVANT why stick on the old one when a new breed, buged-out and improve one is out? Does this make any sense enough?

The point - NEWER IS BETTER!

I think Carbon Extreme is smart enough not to make the Aurora if older model is better instead just keep making and selling FX and EFX models. Why bother with a new breed if old is the best inline they have - does this make any sense?

Also I noticed that lots of pilots selling their Vigor CS cheap and preparing for the Aurora.

ManyLalo...I suppose that you, in your infinite wisdom...and from your apparent career choice...chose Windows ME because it was "newer and better" as well?

Story/Analogy (for those who have a brain and know how to actually use it):
I used to play tennis religiously during high school and college. We all had nice, expensive, latest-and-greatest rackets...except for one guy who would always show up and beat the hell out of everyone with an old, rickety, wooden racket. My point....?

MEDFLIGHT,

dude I am with ya. Shows you what marketing can do. I even saw a web site that was taking pre-orders? Wonder how many people signed up for that?

Aurora dudes don't get me wrong, but.... The Avant Aurora kit is a.... photo on a web sight (for the past?)

P.S. I would love for someone to prove me wrong. It looks to be a nice machine. But right now it's just a pipe dream with a marketing arm. That is to say, I'd buy one, but... they don't make em. So my next heli will be something else...

I'd rather be flying

I have to correct my previous post. Factory reps are flying them. I guess I just don't know where the factory is?

@ ViperHawk

I must be dumb because I dont see the point...?

Keeping it simple and stupid - a Tennis Racket is not a Helicopter. Racket complexity, built, engineering and physics of flight is incomparable with a heli. Besides tennis racket doesn't fly with remote control.

Heard of comparing apples with apples? C'MON guys!
Comparing Avant Heli Old v.s Avant Heli New assuming everything else including pilot skill equal - fits the above adage for comparison right?

Scientific? Logical? Sensible? Lack of a better word to describe - apodictic?

Manny, since when did a simple analogy become a dead-on comparison? ...oh wait, just a sec. sorry:

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/analogy

I wasn't comparing a helicopter to a tennis racket my brother. You obviously missed the point. Let me be a little more clear for you. Here we go...you ready? With today's technology, a good pilot will put on a hell of a show with pretty much any of the upper-level machines that are out right now. The difference gap between the Aurora and the FX/EFX isn't wide enough for me to justify sitting on Runryder all day and whining about the Aurora not being out and how great it's going to be. The Aurora may have some design qualities that make things more convenient to work on, CNC this/that, weighs 2 ounces less....help me I'm dying...can'atewr get air ''asd.f.sf can't breathe....oh god , can't take it anymore ...blah blah blah, etc. etc. etc....but it's not going to fly any better than an FX/EFX in the hands of any capable pilot.

If you STILL need apples to apples; I'm back to Alan Szabo/Raptor 90...Alan Szabo/Avant...Alan Szabo/Aurora. Pretty much all the same. I'm sure most would agree.

My understanding is we already passed the analogy of the 11th Century for comparison. We are dead-on comparison earlier and your argument is a step backwards or on a circuitouos path that bring the argument nowhere.

We are already at the ERA of exact Science (Electronics as one, while medicine getting closer) the reason we are now benefiting with these fantastic machine seems incomprehensible in the 11th century forefathers.

Getting back to the point - I believe people like Alan Szabo can shed light to this argument since the pilots like him that had his hand on all of the Avant machine can be deemed credible.

Depends on who y'are.

What does the 11th century have to do with anything?

---What does the 11th century have to do with anything? ---

I was refering to your method of argument - very popular back then (11th century or even earlier - made a law degree a very lucrative profession even now a days protracting cases and bill by the hours or until the client runs out of doe) and considered obsolote compared to exact sciences now a days.

Avant

Neither the EFX or FX are complete kits and both depend on using some Freya parts. The Freya T/R drive can wear and slip, and the auto hub has been known to fail. Right now, the cost of the conversion kit and the head is about the same as the projected cost of the Aurora which hopefully will have those problems resolved and not require the purchase of another kit to get flying. steve.

That is one thing that sucks about the aroura...my EFX with e3 auto hub,and programmable head is hugely de-valued thanks to the aroura I have about $1500 into it and would be lucky to sell it for $600.
