Hi All,

I decided that I'm going to pick up a Hornet CP kit tomorrow. I've got a JR 610 Micro receiver, lots of micro servo's and speed controllers and some batteries already so I shouldn't need too much more just to get it in the air. I plan to get the Hacker B20-22s I've been reading about in a few searches but I'm curious whether the Astro 010 I have sitting in a drawer would do me for a month or so until I finish buying the stuff I need for a different heli I'm working on.

The only thing I know how to do right now is hover and I'm sure I'll have to spend some time with the Hornet before I'm even doing that very well and then I'll start doing nose in with it for a while. Will my brushless work for that so maybe I'll get some longer flight times or will the RPM be too low?

Another question is what would be the gyro of choice for this machine?

Thanks,
Chris

Hacker

The Hacker is probably the best performing motor you can put in a hornet with very little modifacation. If I remember correctly a few people tried the Astros on the Hornet forum and found them to be underpowered for the Hornet.

Take care,
Joe
