Just talked w/ Rick at Heliproz and he said a deal was almost done w/ JR and Spektrum (I assume JR is purchasing Spektrum). Either way, he said that they should have a 9303 version in the next 6 months or so. Hold on to your hats and your wallets and wait for this radio! This will be the deal. These new generation radios are so cheap for the technology you get - I don't what Futaba is going to do???

I've heard the rumors about a DX9 too. We'll see.

I've been a hardcore Futaba fan for a long time now, but I broke down and got a DX7. It's fast response and no more frequency pins... Couldn't resist...

When you say JR9303 with spektrum, do you mean an entirely new Spektrum JrR9303, a DX9 or a Spektrum module for the JR9303?

futaba will wait till the technology is more known. then they will release the ulitmate radio.. smart in a way instead of spending money every few months producing a radio when the technology is still new they wait and relase 1 ultimate radio...

and it will cost what? more than the 14mz? haha. no one will buy it.

Futaba now introduces the ultimate spektrum radio. It does exactly what Jr spektrum does but at 3 times the price.

haha yeah right

Spektrum good or bad for flying?

I have Spektrum for my RC truck and love it. But I have heard that it is risky using it in the air. They say that the wireless net routers, cordless phones, Baby monitors and all the other 2.4 systems may interfere with the Spek System. I also am planning on using a downlink system for my video system and most of them uses 2.4 as well.

So I guess I really want to hear what you guys have to say before going with it. As of right now I really want to go with the Spek system unless I hear too many negatives on here.

Thanks for any info

As the advertisement states,

Something about a million frequencies, I doubt your gonna get a lock out

For me its XPS, my dad just got me a 12Z, and I would get a futaba 2.4, but well, its another dang radio. So the XPS route is the way for me to go

They say

They WHO?

I think perhaps the folk who've invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 2.4GHz spread spectrum radio technology may have actually thought about that kind of interference LONG before the first pencil was put to paper on the design.

And just HOW close is your flying field to the folk with a cordless phone, baby monitor, wireless routers....? Most of those items have a fairly short range to begin with.

I have tested the unit in my house with no less than 6 2.4Ghz devices going at once - and with them next to the receiver, transmitter, etc. The Spektrum stuff works - period.

Count me as part of the waiting list for the 9303 Spektrum style

Thats the way I was thinking. Who would put a system out on the market with users with units of high value. Some of the hobby stores around my area is just to old school and dosn't like change i think.

I'm on that waiting list to if it comes out.
