| So it depends what you value more, features and better performance or 2.4GHz.

I think you meant to say, "features OR better performance and 2.4ghz" The response time on the DX7 is superior to anything on the market today. I picked a DX7 up, and I think that my 9zWC will be going to the field a whole lot less as well. The feel of the DX7 is incredible. It is so fast that my timing is off on a lot of things, I'm putting the inputs in too early on the DX7, I was compensating for latency without even knowing it.
Also if you price out radios, the DX7 isn't really any more. The DX7 is based on the JR 7202, so if we compare, the 7202 is $329, the DX7 is $349. So for $20 more you get faster performance, and immunity to interference and glitches. No shootdown, no frequency clips, no worries. Everything I own is going on the DX7, I'm going to give it a few months of testing before it goes into my giant scale planes, I don't anticipate any problems, and I love the new radio.
I can't imagine being in the market for a new radio and getting anything else.
